VPI's 3D-printed Fatboy 10-inch tonearm offers unparalleled dynamics, bass, responsiveness, and punch. Choose the UniPivot or Gimballed version.
The 3D-printed Fatboy 10" tonearm boasts VPI's most rigid armwand ever. Think your vinyl already sounds fantastic on your VPI turntable? Prepare to fatten up your pleasure. The Fatboy offers unparalleled dynamics, bass, responsiveness, and punch. It's available in either a Uni-Pivot or Gimballed version.
According to Positive Feedback magazine, "VPI's Fatboy tonearm is a simply stunning accomplishment and could easily be many audiophiles' final tonearm. There's absolutely no question that one would need to spend significantly more money to get better performance. This tonearm doesn't make every cartridge or every record sound the same or sugar coat the sound."
The Fatboy adds a new level of adjustability to the VPI type tonearm. The Uni-Pivot version lets you adjust azimuth using the side arm tube setscrews, the adjustable side weights, or the included dual pivot. While the Fatboy is ideally suited to VPI turntables, it can also greatly enhance your listening experience with fine turntable models from other manufacturers.
According to Mat Weisfeld, President of VPI Industries, "By having the combination of a 3D printed-tube with the finely machined back-stock, it creates the perfect balance of precision and balance for your tonearm. The fine adjustable counterweight [adjustable in thousandths of an inch increments] makes cartridge set-up easier than ever."
