Revel's flagship in-wall speaker is ideal for anyone looking for a high-end home theater setup but doesn't want speakers taking up space in the room. The W228Be's exquisite sound starts with smooth, detailed high frequencies from its 1” beryllium tweeter. Beryllium is known for being both ultra-light and very rigid — properties that allow the tweeter to deliver exquisitely smooth detail without distortion. Dual neodymium magnets control the tweeter's movement with precision, and an acoustic lens waveguide provides a cohesive sound stage throughout your room.
This 3-way speaker uses dual 8" woofers, alongside a 5-1/4” midrange driver. All three of these drivers employ Revel's Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) design, which features an aluminum cone sandwiched between two layers of ceramic coating. This design provides excellent damping for tight mids and low frequencies. The midrange driver is mounted alongside the tweeter on a rotating module that lets you use the speaker in vertical or horizontal orientation — perfect for a left/right speaker or a center channel. .
The W228Be shares the same acoustic signature sound as Revel's popular PerformaBe line. That means you can get great results when you pair this speaker with bookshelf, floor-standing, and center channel models in your custom home theater setup.
